Sustain probiotic is made from pork liver and NOT from poultry like many other brands which cause allergic reactions themselves.
I've learned this the hard way when I switched from Sustain to Purina Fortiflora because it was unavailable at the time of ordering. My boy's ears became inflamed within a week, a clear sign of an allergic reaction to chicken.
I've switched back to Sustain and Bailey is now a healthy boy again. This probiotic powder is the best I came across.

Sustain powders have helped my dog’s sensitive stomach problems.
She won’t eat this just sprinkled on her food so I mix it with peanut butter and she wolfs it down. Only been taking a week so hopefully will see effects soon.

More than one of the sachets had spilled the powder contents into the box. At a price of more that £1 per sachets I would expect better packaging. This complaint lies with Sustain, not the seller.
This is great stuff. It worked in about 3 days for my dog. On the vet's advice I split his meals up so he ate 6 small meals a day with the powders on one of them, mixed into his wet food.
I've been using this product for my labrador since October 2025 after having severe stomach problems. It settled her stomach within a week of taking. I've now got my dog down to one every other day and this seems to keep her on a even keel. It's stopped the diarrhoea and sickness. Highly recommend.

Our older dog has been on this for many years. She’s takes 1 sachet mixed with her lunch and evening meal with no problem. She has “ colitis” or at least bowel intolerance and can only have royal Canin hypoallergenic wet and dry food. She used to have extreme bloody diarrhoea a few times a day. Since she has been on this she has only very rare occurrences and usually only if she has stolen some food she is allergic to. This really has ‘saved the day’

My dog has been taking this for three months then I ordered two from PETPLANET - excellent price and speed of delivery but on a usage level - I�m sure it�s doing what it�s designed to do but I thought by giving him extra gut support that it might have had an impact on his breath - his teeth and gums are in excellent health and I have already had them cleaned by the vet to ensure this I will continue with this as it has been recommended by my vet anyway.
As I�ve said above it�s great. Sprinkled on her food and stirred in she eats it without any bother so it�s obviously very palatable.

Superb probiotic, our Labrador Lily was prescribed this during recovery from a severe adverse reaction to Metacam. When we stopped it after 4 weeks she wasn�t right so we�ve kept her on it. It�s a bit pricey at �1 a day but well worth it for the benefits gained.
This is a tremendous probiotic . For weeks now my poor dog has lots of gastric troubles and he now has ulcerative colitis . This probiotic has worked wonders alongside diet change and he is a new boy . Highly recommend this product so much it�s the best and was recommended by my vet .
