Really great feeder for cats. So quiet when it opens and our cat soon got used to using it. Wet food stays fresh all day so is perfect if you have a cat that likes to graze their food throughout the day.

If you have pussy cats that eat each others food, then this is the fix. Now have two feeders, one for each cat, and they are much happier, so are their owners!

We have had surefeed pet feeders before for our cats and they were a great success.Now we have replaced them with the microchip surefeed pet feeders because we need to keep the cats food separate because of health issues,its a great help.A very good product. I highly recommend.

We have 3 of these which have worked successfully for 4+ years. One seemed a little sluggish, so I reprogrammed it for another cat. It worked fine for a different cat. It turns out one of my cats has a badly positioned or less readable chip. An excellent device, preventing my gannet cat eating all the food. It also keeps food well covered from flies until a cat returns.

A very good buy. My kitten only took a few days to get used to the feeder and It prevented the my cat who is on a diet from eating kitten food. The learning button was very useful for helping my kitten get used to the closing door.

We adopted 2 cats, 1 was a grazer and the other a pie muncher. We had to constantly watch our cats eat to make sure they didn't eat each others food. This product was recommended to us by my brother, so I bought 2 of them. Turned out to be great decision. The bowels were easy enough to set up and it only took my cats a couple of days to get used to them. We now have piece of mind knowing both cats are feeding properly. Although my cats are microchipped ( as are most ) I thought the fact rifid tags were added was a nice touch. We can happily leave our cats to eat as and when the feel like it. The price had been reduced so we're 100% happy with our purchase. They were delivered when stated! Would I recommend this product? ABSOLUTELY!

Having added another greedy kitten to our clowder, we find that food management of the adult kitties became an issue with food theft. The only way to manage the situation was to stop them all wolfing each others food. This, although a little expensive, seemed the best option. All four cats have taken to these feeders extremely well, & we did a slow introduction over a couple of weeks.. They all took to the feeders surprisingly quickly and we've had no issues with them being afraid of the noise of the lid movement etc. The microchip recognition was easy to do, and they now seem to all know whose one is who's. Did have a couple of issues of heads being pushed in alongside another's feeder, but now that they have adjusted they settle in to eating, leaving less room for intruders. Very happy with results so far.

Amused to be replicating previous review with my Smidge. Two cats, Smidge and Smudge. Both overweight. One a gobbler and one a grazer. Grazer used to be practically hand-fed and gobbler was fed out of a mouse toy. Then I got a puppy. Needed Smidge to be able to eat when she wanted despite puppy. This worked wonders. Only took a few days for her to get used to it (think because they're already used to microchip cat flap) but she then figured out it was easier to sit behind her sister and snaffle biscuits as she batted them out the toy. Cue buying another. It's expensive but I know exactly what they're eating and it's just so much easier!

We have been suffering from a stray cat entering our home and eating our two cat's food. And it cleans the bowls out, leaving nothing in them. Putting in a microchip controlled cat flap did not stop it from coming in. This cat knows how to lift up the flap and crawl under it. So protected feeders were the only solution. And these feeders work perfectly. The intruder still comes in, but cannot touch the food. A trail camera showed that it still comes in but cannot get into the feeders. Now our two cats are no longer hungry in the morning and a lot less stressed. Our cats took to the feeder very easily after following the training setting.

I have two cats on dry food, and this stopped Smidge, the dominate alpha male in the house, eating his brother, George's food, as well as his own. However, the tables were then turned and George ate Smidge's, so a second feeder was required. George took a couple of months to get completely used to the feeder, Smidge was a couple of days. Even with having to buy two it is definitely worth the money. But you do need patience to work slowly through the speed levels and get a shy cat used to it.

Excellent for ensuring cats eat their own food only. I now have 3 cats one being a greedy Tom. This makes sure the others get fed and he sticks to his diet. I would highly recommend.

I bought two of these for my kittens, mainly to stop my greedy dog from stealing the food! They do exactly as advertised and the kittens adapted to using them very quickly. Love that the food stays covered when they are not eating and that the dog has no access. A good product which I highly recommend.

I can't begin to say what a life changer this Surefeed microchip pet feed is. Having recently rescued two cats and understanding that I have a guzzler and a grazer, I'd been struggling a little to manage their eating habits. I came across this feeder on a cats Facebook group where it was being discussed and decided to investigate whether this was something that would help me. Three weeks later they arrived, were so easy to set up and what a difference it has made. I was a little hesitant about leaving the food out all day, but the seal that is created between the top of the bowl and the lid is so good, no need to worry about it going stale. So happy with these.

We have a greedy Labrador and a cat with an arthritic spine so we we were spending a lot of time lifting the cat onto the work surface to eat so that the dog wouldn't steal his food. I wasn't sure this cat feeder would work for our cat but after a couple of days of uncertainty he is a master of the art of getting the lid to open. I don't know whether I did the initial training wrong. I popped some fresh salmon in a dish and the feeder identified his chip quickly. The cat likes to take bits of food out and put them on the floor to eat them and unfortunately just as he was popping his head back in to take another piece the lid closed on his nose. He got over the surprise after a day or so and it has been plain sailing ever since. I do keep the dog out of the kitchen when the meal is first put down because it was hard to stop the dog from barging through mid meal to grab a mouthful but for the rest of the day the feeder stays on the floor with the dog around without trouble. And that's quite an achievement with a Labrador!

Expensive but worth the money wish I'd bought one years ago. With 1 overweight guzzler cat and 1 underweight grazer I can now leave food for the little one and she can graze all day. Took her a while to get used to it had to put her there but now feeds independently and I know what they've each eaten. Love it! Easy set up too.

We have had a couple of these a few years ago when we had two cats. We have just got a rescue cat and now have two cats again. These pet feeders are really good if your cats are on different diets. They arrived from pet planet very quickly and for a good price. I can highly recommend the product and pet planet! ??

This is the the third microchip feeder I have bought. The first two for my two cats in 2011. One of the feeders recently stopped working probably because of the many years of use it had, and so now I have just purchased our third to replace. It has been a great buy and do not know what I would do without them for my cats. I would highly recommend this micro feeder. Absolutely excellent!!!

This product is great while working just not sure about the value. It has a guarantee of 3 years but our previous one failed at 3 years 3 months. I could not find a microchip feeder made by anybody else so I have bought another one from Surefeed. Maybe this one will last longer.

We bought this as we are about to welcome a puppy to the household and wanted to make sure that the puppy wouldn't eat the cats food. This feeder is great and the cat managed to work out how to use it in under a day.

I have 2 of these now due to having 2 toy poodles one with a severe food allergy. Both dogs are fed using this and this product is brilliant. Can feed them and not worry about eating each other�s food. Plus they can graze without the cats eating it as well. Previously used one for an elderly cat who grazed all day and she was fed really well due to having that food there just for her. As long as it�s kept clean you won�t have any problems. Highly recommend

I have 2 cats, one of which is always eating the others food, hence I bought one of these to trial it for my kitty who is always losing out. It looked ideal, just what I needed to keep the greedy one out of the others dish. The cat took to it no problem but when feeding the greedy food stealer just popped his head over the gap in the side of the feeder and still steals the others food. We did get around this by buying a clear plastic storage tub, cutting it in half and using it to cover the gaps at the back of the feeder. It needs the designer on it to solve this problem otherwise you can�t claim �It stops pets eating each other�s food� as it is, it doesn�t.

It works exactly how it says: you scan in your cat's microchip, then you teach your cat how to use it. I have an old cat who's on a special diet, but my other cat kept eating her food. This feeder is the perfect solution for us. I first got one for my older cat. She was very cautious of the feeder opening and closing at first, but we followed the training program from the instruction manual and by the end of it she was confident and happy to use the feeder. I got my other cat his own feeder a few months later, and he only needed some very minimal training because he already saw how my older cat has been using hers. Now they both only eat their own food. It's perfect! If you've been having problems gatekeeping your cats' food, get this feeder, seriously, it will change your life and your cats' too.

We have previously owned the Surefeed microchip cat flap so when we were having problems with our new kitten Rocket stealing food from his older brother Freddie it was a no brainer to get one of these; when i opened the box and put the batteries in Freddie immediately put his head through the loop and registered his microchip, and ate the treat in the bowl, and that was all the training required. From then he has used it for all his meals, its especially good at night when we can put food and biscuits in and he can graze when he wants but the lid closes as soon as he moves away before Rocket can steal his food. I had to set the time delay to the fastest setting so that it closes as soon as he finishes eating and moves away, but its been operating faultlessly from day one. Expensive but worth every penny, and in the sale with an additional set of bowls free great value too.

This is the second one of these that I've bought and they do their job well. My cats were always trying to eat each others food (they have to have different food) and this means they can't. I would advise getting some rechargeable batteries as they need replacing fairly regularly. I do think it's a little on the the expensive side but worth the money for the hassle it's saving me

Just what I needed to stop my puppy stealing the cats food, expensive, this was the cheapest on line but solved the pup stealing problem. Great

This is a considered purchase at the price, although pet plant is much cheaper for it than elsewhere. I had to buy two, as I have an elderly Persian cat worth kidney disease who has to eat only only renal food and I had to ensure my big Maine coon didn't eat that. Easy to use and my cats learned to use it quite quickly. Only criticism is that not sure how well the acrylic lids will fair over time.

We like to leave biscuits out during the day for our cats but one constantly eats way more than his fair share. Since we've worked from home and monitored them, we realised just how big a problem this was and our other cat has gained some weight back. We were worried about leaving them again once we have to be out during the day and so I thought we'd try these. They have been fantastic! The cats both used them immediately and very quickly (within a few days) got used to the idea that only a certain one would open for each of them. They're really easy to use and it's a great feature that you can alter the speed that the lids close. It was nice to get a second bowl insert too that can separate wet food from dry. I was a bit reluctant to spend this much money but I'm really glad that I did, they're good quality and are just what we needed.
