SmartCat Ultimate Post Perch with Pad

This is the best scratching post we have had. Our cat loves it, the post is very sturdy and doesn't move when the cat uses it. We also bought the padded platform that attaches to the top and our cat spends hours sitting here watching the birds in the garden. Would highly recommend this post.

These are absolutely fantastic. We have 3 of the scratching posts and have ordered 3 of the perches - one for each - and our cats absolutely love sitting and loafing on top of these. The height provides a nice vantage point the cats enjoy too. Superb.

This is the 2nd perch I have bought from pet planet for my cat to use with the tall scratch post that I purchased from a third party to use in another room. My cat absolutely loves it, being up high on her perch staring outside, also likes to go asleep on it too. The price has been reduced as well which is a bonus

Purchased the Smart scratch post first. It is the best one ever !! The Smart cat perch, that slides easily on the top,finishes it off. My cat went straight on it & had a sleep zzz

Bought this at the same time as the post, our cat has long tufts of fur between her toes meaning she tends to slip on smooth surfaces, she likes to climb and sit in high places so this was an essential safety buy. It slides easily onto the post but also slides off just as easily, a piece of card from the post packaging between post and perch gave it a firm fit. The pad is reversible, but again, it slides about. I fixed this with a piece of non slip mesh matting between pad and mdf surface. The velcro dots to secure the straps have stayed in place, probably as the pad now does not slip and pull on them but could be remedied with better velcro if need be. Aesthetically, the plastic runners are a bit unsightly as they are at eye level, but that again is a minor detail. The original post could have been designed with an included perch with permanent fixings, most cats like to climb so for safety's sake they need a safe place to perch when they reach the top.

The seat Slides on easily, and it's nicely made. The only problem is my cat won't jump onto the seat. it's both higher and smaller than his previous perch. And it puts him the same height as the kitchen work surfaces which he knows he shouldn't go onto. However he loves the scratching post and used that immediately.

Cat perch on top of post is a really good idea. Forever in use and not as unsightly as some posts

My two kittens very quickly demolished a cat scratching post made from string - this post is solid and does not shred. Now they are used to it, my two, not so little, monsters love it.

I bought the scratching post first my my big ginger Tom. It was the biggest I could find and my cat loves it. It took a while for him to sit on the top but when he had I bought the cat perch for him. It is well made, as is the post. A shame there are no choices of colour and some way of locking it in place but still a very worthwhile purchase and my cat really likes surveying the world from his high position on top. Worth every penny.

2nd one I have purchased purely due to bought the grey Post after years of use from the natural one, so wanted a new perch. My Maine coon sits on it a lot to survey the one other cats and goings on. He is King of the Castle on the perch! The perch goes with the ultimate cat scratching post, of course, which is the best practical post around(in my opinion) Only downsides was the perch as previously noted by others is that its very slideable,and the Velcro soon misbehaves but I sort that myself. All In all its a thumbs up from me and my precious felines????????

We bought the post first which our cat uses regularly so also bought the seat which he loves and even naps on! One of the sticky dots is coming off but apart from that I would highly recommend.

it's really great seat. It has few flaws, like the straps are not 100% sticking to the thing, but it can be DIY solved if needed. Overall it's a really nice complementary seat for the brilliant enough scratcher!

I found the only issue with this (apart from the fact my cat just wont go anywhere near the tree) is that it does slide a little. If the cat jumped on it from the straight end, the seat does move a little, shame there is no kind of stop to lock it in place.

Very sturdy and good value. I've yet to see my cat use the post but the post stands in front of settee where she likes to scratch so maybe she's using the scratcher when I'm not looking!

The cushion doesnt fit the wood top properly (too small) and the Velcro keeps coming undone from underneath. Also the top fits too loosely on the scratch pad. Disappointed really.

The frustrating thing is that the Velcro dots to hold the cushion in place refuse to stick to the underside of it.

I have a 5-year-old rescue cat and a 3-month-old Persian kitten, and they were both playing with it before I had it assembled. Both cats have used the perch, which is very stable on the top. I'm very happy I bought it with the scratching post; it's been a very useful addition to wear out two very playful cats.

Comfy cat seat finishes off the Scratching post they both love it!!. Would highly recommend. # A++ very good value.
