Single Meal Automatic Pet Feeder by Petplanet

Works well and helps me not to get out of the bed at night. A life-savior!

Excellent quality and good value for money.
Confident that this will operate as per timed on the day.

First feeder that arrived was faulty. I sent an email and immediately received an apology with a promise to get a new one out to me ASAP. Excellent customer care. It arrived within 2 days. Happy me and very happy pussy cat! Keeps her busy overnight.

I bought one of these years ago and it has always served me, well my cat, well. I dropped it and broke it recently so didn’t hesitate to buy another one.

Really useful and simple to use. Quite basic but I've got 3 of these now and they're much more reliable and much easier for my cat to use than more complicated feeders. Great to have the option of the chill pads and the removable dishes are easy to clean.

I don't find the timer completely accurate but it works well enough to feed my cat early in the morning. Customer service was brilliant, I would order from them again.

Great value for money, basic but perfect for daily feeding when you are out of the house at work all day. Definitely recommend

Bought this when I was going away so that the person feeding my cat could set it to dispense Sirs bedtime treats. It works perfectly and is large enough to fit a whole cat stick (his favourite) plus biscuits. It arrived promptly too. The only negative is that the battery space is a very close fit. Recommended though!

Excellent product - only negative is that once the battery is in, you cant turn the timer on and off - the timer keeps going once the battery is in - a design flaw in my opinion or a money saving element to keep it cheap - I would pay more for a on/off switch/button - but, it does what it says on the tin - cat eats from it when i'm at work and I work weird shifts so I know my cat can eat when im out at specific times.

We bought this because our older cat now needs more spaced out feeds (3 rather than 2 a day). Hes also got a very loud voice, so demands from the garden at 5am so bought this to try and reduce the noise. It works pretty well. It is easy to set - although Id probably prefer a clock, rather than timer system if I was buying again (more like a plugged in timer for Christmas lights or similar). Our cat managed to get his paws underneath and turn it over though! The spring catch is not strong enough to open when its upside down (unsurprisingly!) So he had to wait for us to go down and open it for him. We solved this by Blu-tac to the floor! (And when we get time were going to screw the whole dish to a bit of chipboard so its too heavy for him to flip over - not sure I want blu-tac on floor long term.) From reviews left I dont think this has been a problem for others, and certainly not a manufacturers fault. As far as I can tell, its only failed to open once. No idea why. Its largely solved our issue; we split his morning biscuits into two feeds now, for first thing and then reset it for early afternoon (so hes fed if were out all day). Then he has tinned food at 5. Reduces stress all round. Not tried the cold pack as yet as we only use for the first two feeds, but nice to have it. If we need to, Id buy another one, as the timers can be set for a long time in advance and this is still cheaper than buying a two-meal dish.

Bought this as we were away for 2 nights and wanted the person looking in on our cat to have freedom to come at times that suited her. Super easy to use and clean, and the cat had no issues adjusting to it. Not sure how good the timer is as we weren't here (and I'm not going to sit and watch it LOL) but the cat clearly didn't starve! Having the cool pack for wet food is a great addition, although it would be good to have more than just one (can you buy more at the right size?). We've only used it for this one short break, but even if that's it the cost really isn't much!

Great price does what it says easy to use, yes does jump a bit when opening but its good perfect when you are out for the day saves having to get someone to pop in would recommend

I recently ordered another of these feeders as I have used them previously and they are a life, or should I say, sleep saver, when your cat wants food in the middle of the night! On this occasion, however, the product was faulty on arrival. I contacted petplanet via email and within minutes had a reply fromShona to say a replacement was being prepared for despatch. This is excellent customer service. I would recommend both the product and this company. Thank you Shona!

Yes it's perfect. For us it's just the right size for a night-time feed for our cat. Easy to use & keep clean. Good price too. Ten out of ten.

I bought 2 of these automatic feeders, because I've got 2 cats. One of them works fine, the other one doesn't always open. The timers are pretty inaccurate, I set both timers at the same time, one opened up, 20 mins later the other one still hadn't opened up. Seeing one of my cats is super greedy, I would need more accurate and reliable timed feeders. If you're feeding only 1 cat, this is a good product. Seeing they were only 10 each, it was worth a try. The service from Petplanet was really good, product arrived well packaged and on time.

Dog was waking us at sunrise seeking breakfast. This device did the trick but the dog knows that food is in there and will paw the device trying to get at it. He has never opened it or damaged it. But because the timer is exposed he will move the timer dial round with his paw defeating the object. We have therefore had to tape a plastic cover over the timer. That works fine albeit a crude fix. Otherwise works well and good value.

Great value and service for this practical cat feeder

I bought 2 of these as my 2 cats are over weight and have had a considerable reduction in their. Dry food. They were waking my husband and I up quite clearly to be fed so we decided to get a couple of these to set the time and SUCCESS!! They even have a cool pack in with them so you can keep the food fresh if you were to use wet food in them. The only slight downside is that they do bounce up a little when the timer goes off as so I velcro-d them to the mats i place them on and that seems to help. Simple to set up and use. Absolutely perfect for our needs! More sleep for us and less stress for the boys!

This is an excellent product and exactly what we needed for our cats. Really easy to use and set up, works perfectly. Great that it comes with a cool pouch too for those rare warm days in the UK. PetPlanet have this for a great price, delivery was quick, so would definitely recommend this product and works purchase from PetPlanet again!

This is great value and saves me from being woken with the sunrise by my cats. The timers with 2 cats can never be exact but I try to set them as close as possible and it works great for my needs. Easy to clean. And arrived earlier than expected.

Purchased to replace a much older one. Works well. The ticking was a little annoying at first but I got used to it quicker than I thought. The ice pack is a wonderful idea Thank you

This feeder works very well to give our cat an evening feed that's fresher than if the wet cat food were out in an open dish all day. It's extremely good value for money compared with a similar product available elsewhere. I would have given it five stars if extra tray inserts were available - if we're away, our cat-caring friend will have to wash the tray each morning to prepare the feeder for the evening, which seems a bit unfair on her!

Does exactly what it says. Helps if we are late home or away for one night means I can leave extra food. Love that it comes with a freezable packet to keep wet food fresh.

First item was damaged in transit, but replaced quickly. Easy to use, but timer is really an estimate, as there is some play in the timer knob. For example, if you set the timer for 8 hours, it could open anywhere from 6 to 10 hours.

So we have rescue chickens who love their treats and they are very much in a routine and know when the treats should emerge! .. so voila!! here is your afternoon nibbles ladies!! I use the feeders mainly for grains/corn but have used with fruit too. The only disadvantage, it must be kept dry so chickens had to learn where its hidden if it rains. But something exciting too as they can hear the seconds tick away! Very pleased.

Excellent service from PetPlanet and the feeder arrived really quickly after ordering. Simple to use and the gel pad that could be put in the freezer is a great way to keep the food fresh, The bowl capacity is big enough for a cat or a small dog but maybe not large enough for a bigger pet, but it worked a treat for my cats need - in fact I don't think he missed me x

Great product I just wish they done it in a larger size. I have a malinois x GSD and the bowl was just too small for the amount of food I need to load to it. Great value for money but if you feed your large dogs more than say 300gs in a sitting this will be too small for you too I'm afraid. Had to send it back :(

Bought 4 of these in advance for when we go away overnight (I have four cats) - tried then out and very happy, just like a kitchen timer, you just set how many hours before you want them to open - its great having the gel pad to freeze and place in the bottom to keep the food fresh - great value for money, definitely would recommend.

Does what it promises. Easy to use & clean & my cat took to it straight away. Used it when we went away for a night but considering using most days now as our cat has an annoying habit of waking us up at 4am wanting food / attention.

Our cat started waking us up at 4am to be fed, and would scratch at the door for attention, but with this feeder we dont have to worry about any of this! Saved our sleep!
