Scruffs Alpine Colorado Cat Tree - Cream

The Scruffs Alpine Colorado is a 100cm cat tree in cream with a cave to hide in, a bed, a perch, a cushion and pom poms to play with.

It sits in the middle of the Alpine range: tall enough to be worth climbing, compact enough to fit most rooms.

The posts are pear wood wrapped in sisal rope. Cats like scratching real wood, and the sisal gives them a second, rougher texture. The beds and platforms are covered in a thick textured faux fur over a recycled polyester filling, and the bedding comes off for the wash.

The base and platforms are chipboard, not solid wood. And the cave is wasted on a cat who never goes into anything with a roof. If yours sleeps out in the open, the Alpine Atlas gives you the post, perch and bed without it.

For most homes with one or two cats, this is the Alpine tree we would pick. It comes flat-packed and needs putting together. The tools are in the box.

Scruffs photograph it with three Maine Coon kittens and a Domestic Shorthair.

Washing

• Colour can transfer, particularly when wet. Keep out of direct sunlight.

Safety

• Scruffs supply a wall strap to stop the tree toppling over. Use it. Fixings are not included, so buy ones that suit your wall.
• Keep away from fire.
• This is a pet product, so keep it away from young children.
• Check it regularly for wear, and replace it if it is damaged or any part comes loose.
• Pets can chew things unexpectedly. If yours swallows any of the material, ring your vet straight away.
