During your large-breed puppy's growth period, they need enough calories and the right nutrients for their developing skeletal, nervous and sensory systems. This can be a challenge for puppies of this size: because they are susceptible to bone and joint problems, high levels of calcium or vitamins can be harmful. As younger puppies gradually lose the 'antibody shield' provided by their mother's colostrum, they also need optimal protein to build their own immune system. ROYAL CANIN Maxi Puppy is specially formulated to support the nutritional needs of large-breed puppies. This formula is suitable for 2 to 15-month-old large-breed puppies that should reach an adult weight of 26-44kg.

This formula contains nutrients such as vitamins C and E to help support the puppies' natural defences while their immune systems are still developing. It is enriched with omega-3 fatty acids (such as DHA) which helps support healthy brain development in puppies. Thanks to a combination of beneficial prebiotics (such as FOS, MOS and beet pulp) and highly digestible proteins, ROYAL CANIN Maxi Puppy also helps to support a healthy balance of intestinal microbiota (gut flora) for good digestion. Additionally, the formula contains an optimal energy content designed to satisfy the energy needs of growing, large-breed puppies. The kibble in ROYAL CANIN Maxi Puppy has also been specially designed for the unique needs of large breed puppies. Its size and shape help regulate the speed at which your puppy eats and promotes fullness. It also helps to support dental health, thanks to a mechanical brushing effect as your puppy chews.

Did you know that a puppy's nutritional needs change as they grow? By the time your large-breed puppy reaches 15 months old, they will need a diet that's specially adapted to meet their nutritional needs as a grown dog. At this stage, you can transition them onto ROYAL CANIN Maxi Adult, available either as a dry kibble diet or with wet chunks in gravy.

At Royal Canin, we're committed to creating a better world for cats and dogs. For more than 50 years, we've worked closely with breeders, vets, and pet experts, sharing specialist knowledge and scientific research to create a dedicated approach to individualised, precise nutritional solutions. All of our products undergo an extensive quality control process to guarantee the optimal quality of food. When your large-breed puppy eats ROYAL CANIN Maxi Puppy, they're getting a complete and balanced diet.

my dog is obsessed with Royal Canin maxi puppy, this is the brand he will have for the rest of his life, its quality is superb and my dog who previously was not keen on dry food now wolfs down his meal as soon as we put it out. His coat looks healthier and this has completely changed his digestive health, firmer poos are easier to clean up and his stomach has settled completely. Wouldn’t choose another brand after trying this out.

Let's face it, as owners we would look for a good brand with quality ingredients etc etc... So did I and upgraded my puppy's kibble to the same old brand but for older pups... and then he refused to eat ... Concerned, I started looking for something new but still a great quality and was given the opportunity to try Royal Canine and so glad I did! The food disappears in seconds! He seems to really enjoy it and is thriving. Fussy eater no more, just a bouncy healthy doggo.

My puppy loves this food and it is perfect for her as it smells great and it is small in size so great for her to eat and I have noticed that she has a lot more energy since I have been feeding it to her. It is great how it is made from natural ingredients which will benefit her immune system and brain development aswell as providing vitamins and nutrients to help her all round with her development, I have recommended it to others with new puppies as I found it perfect

I tested the maxi biscuits for my dog. Upon arriving I notice that the packaging was strong and easy to open. It also has a resealable zip on the bag to help keep the food fresh (which it did over the couple of weeks I used it). I found the biscuits to be of a good size and hardness for my pup, neither to big or small so that I would find myself worrying about him choking on them when eating (although I obviously still keeped an close on him when eating). My puppy seemed interested in the food when opening them and came to see what I had, so I started by giving him a few by hand as if a treat so he would get the taste for them. He enjoyed the biscuits and ate them enthusiastically. Then I introduced the biscuits slowly into his food by replacing his usual meals by an increased amount of these biscuits every couple of days till he was fully on them. He was always excited to eat his meals, and seem very happy with them. We didn't get clean bowls everytime however I believe this was more to do with him being a grazier when eating than the food as he would always go back amd pick at any left later on. These biscuits didn't cause any issues with his digestive system and he still had the crazy amount of energy he normally has so I felt these were well suited to him and offered the nutrition he needed aswell as offering something he enjoys. I would recommend them to others as they seem to be a good nutrition meal for pups and something that they will enjoy.

My black labrador puppy loved this food. She was excited at every mealtime and she ate it all quickly. She has been growing well with this food with lots of energy. I would recommend this food to other labrador puppy owners

My puppy loved the food. I switched over from his regular food gradually but my puppy seemed to love it from day 1 and was fine with the process. The size of the kibble seemed to be just right for him and he enjoyed every mouthful. I think i will keep buying this food as my puppy loved it and the ingredients and price are good too. One of my friends is trying it for her puppy too based on my recommendation and is getting on well with it.

Royal Canin has been our go to for many years with our doggos. We had a litter of 10 golden retrievers recently and this has been our introduction to solids for them. As with our previous litter, we've found Royal Canin to be reliable and trustworthy in giving our puppies the best start and no upset tummies. The mum also enjoyed as to help her with milk production. We'll definitely stick to this brand in the future.

My 4-month-old German wirehair Pointer puppy, Heidi, transitioned onto the Royal Canin’s Puppy Formula about 3 weeks ago, and his response has been overwhelmingly positive. The transition was smooth, which was a huge relief. She showed no digestive upset whatsoever. she absolutely loves the taste and has it for breakfast, lunch and dinner! The kibble size is perfect for her, they are small enough for her to chew easily but not so tiny that she swallows it whole. Her stools are also consistently firm and well-formed, which indicates excellent digestive health. My favorite aspect is the ingredient quality and transparency. The essential supplements, gives me confidence that I am providing the absolute best foundation for Heidi’s growth. Knowing that every ingredient is purposeful and clearly listed on the bag is a huge win for a concerned puppy parent. The current bag design uses a simple zip-seal closure, which I find helpful and it always stay perfectly sealed for freshness. It would be nice to have a scoop for the right measurements. Overall we are very pleased with the puppy food.

My 8 month old German shepherd puppy absolutely loves the royal canin maxi puppy food. I noticed a few changes while reverting to this food, her coat was shinier, she was back to enjoying her meals and also her digestion improved as well. She’s now fuller for longer and completely satisfied on this brand. I have since moved completely to this brand and will continue to use this

Tried this for my big-breed pup and it’s been great so far. The kibble size is perfect, and my puppy actually gets excited for mealtime now. No tummy issues, nice steady energy, and his coat looks shinier too. It’s a bit pricier than some other brands, but honestly feels worth it for how well he’s doing on it. Great option if you’ve got a growing large-breed pup!
