PURINA® PRO PLAN® VETERINARY DIETS Feline NF Renal Function is a tasty complete veterinary diet for cats to support kidney function in cases of chronic kidney disease. It contains restricted amounts of phosphorus as this mineral can build up in kidney patients and has been shown to contribute to progression of the disease.

The diet also contains limited amounts of high-quality protein to help minimise development of the protein breakdown products (uraemic toxins) which make patients feel unwell while helping to maintain muscle mass. Omega-3 fatty acids help to enhance natural anti-inflammatory processes and minimise increases in blood pressure inside the kidney.

Key Benefits:

  • Dietary phosphate restriction to help support kidney function, slowing down the progression of chronic kidney disease
  • Restrichigh-quality quality proteins to help reduce the build-up of toxins in the body and therefore improve quality of life
  • High palatability for optimum enjoyment by your cat, which helps in the long-term use of this highly effective diet
  • With ST/OX (dry only) for urinary security: formulated to help minimise the risk of urinary conditions

Note that PURINA® PRO PLAN® VETERINARY DIETS Feline NF Renal Function is not suitable for cats that require a high protein or phosphorus intakes such as pregnant queens and growing kittens.

The recommended period of use is initially up to 6 months, although the product can be used long term. A gradual transition to the new diet may be especially helpful in cats with CRI. Cats with CRI that remain inappetent should be assessed for nausea. Warming the product to room temperature can enhance palatability for cats with a fussy appetite.
