PURINA® PRO PLAN® VETERINARY DIETS Feline NF Renal Function is a tasty complete veterinary diet for cats to support kidney function in cases of chronic kidney disease. It contains restricted amounts of phosphorus as this mineral can build up in kidney patients and has been shown to contribute to progression of the disease.

The diet also contains limited amounts of high-quality protein to help minimise development of the protein breakdown products (uraemic toxins) which make patients feel unwell while helping to maintain muscle mass. Omega-3 fatty acids help to enhance natural anti-inflammatory processes and minimise increases in blood pressure inside the kidney.

The recommended period of use is initially up to 6 months, although the product can be used long term. A gradual transition to the new diet may be especially helpful in cats with CRI. Cats with CRI that remain inappetent should be assessed for nausea. Warming the product to room temperature can enhance palatability for cats with a fussy appetite.

Thankfully my elderly cat loves this renal food, But I wanted to say thank you, and I have become a returning customer, when I can't find something on the website I have made a phone call everyone who I have talked to displayed a good knowledge of the products and if for any other reason I rang there always of help. Happy Cat

I bought this cat food to add to the chicken flavour I have already tried. My cat really enjoys the Salmon flavour too & is good to give her a variety. Great service from Petplanet as always. Too early to tell if it's improving her renal function but very hopeful.

Good value and delivery

In these strange times it is good to have some certainty, my cat Charlie has to have renal food and I was worried that I would not be able to buy his food and have it delivered. Pet Planet were brilliant, food ordered and delivered promptly. I can recommend this food in maintaining kidney function, Charlie was diagnosed with compromised kidneys about 4 years ago, He only has this make food and biscuits and his last check up showed that his kidneys are now functioning as well a cat without compromised kidneys. Thank You

Ok but cat was sick .

This was ok for our cat but she was sick because she was eating it too quickly but other than that she liked it..

Frank likes it.

My elderly rescue cat, Frank, has chronic renal failure and I adopted him to give him a comfy end of life. However, he is so good and eats this food no problem, and his blood results are steadily improving, so I am hoping he will be around for quite a while. My vet says diet works better than medication.
