The Pioneer Pet Raindrop Premium Pet Fountain will attract your cat or dog to it and encourage your four-legged friend to drink more water.

Cats and dogs are attracted to moving water and as this filtered water tastes so good, your pet will feel more inclined to drink. This in turn helps to prevent crystal formation that can lead to urinary diseases.

Cats not interested

Product set up and working fine. You can hear the noise in the background but not at all obtrusive. It has now been in place for 10 days and neither of our cats have shown any interest in using it despite my best attempts . Will leave for a few more days but will then revert to a bowl of water. An expensive waste of money as far as I'm concerned.

best of the rest

Excellent idea, much better than the plastic one I have. Clean water on tap. A bit noisy but if you keep it topped up the noise dies down. My 2 cats were initially curious about it and kept going over to it, a bit scared of it, and not drinking but eventually their curiosity overcame their fear and are now happily drinking from it .

No grime, but noisy

This water fountain looks good. After two weeks of operation there were no signs of build up of grime that comes from bacteria. Unfortunately, it is pretty loud. It was immediately noticeable and a lot louder than a PetMate fountain that it was supposed to replace. The pump in it was not really loud, it is a regular fish tank pump. It looks like the metal body of the fountain was resonating and amplifying the sound. If you are not worried by that, then this fountain is a good choice.

Looks good, works well

Better-looking than our plastic fountain and the cats use it happily. Yet to clean it but glad it can go through the dishwasher - it's also easy to disassemble. I will say it's a bit louder than the other fountain we have (Cat Mate) so bear that in mind depending on planned location.

Clean but noisy

I bought this to replace a plastic one that was becoming increasingly harder to keep clean. So far it has been much easier to keep clean and my cat's grubby chin has cleared up (I suspect acne from the plastic fountain). Perhaps it varies depending on the pump, but they one I have *is* noisy. It doesn't matter how much water I put in, how full it is, the pump motor is louder than the sound of the water and is sometimes very annoying. The cats love it though and as it is cleaner for tem, that's what matters.
