Perfect for an obligate carnivore ??

We have a utterly beautiful & spirited ragdoll. He is 10 months old & thriving, with shiny soft silky fur, bright eyes & full of energy. I am a great believer in respecting any animals natural instincts & given that he's a cat, that absolutely means respecting his biology as an obligate carnivore. My last cat lived to 21 so I feel kinda feel approach is some what proven. Plenty of exercise & stimulation, a portion of fresh meat daily(usually poached chicken, far cheaper than pouches of wet food & nothing is ever wasted) with his orijen he's fed twice a day by enrichment,, If he has to work for his food, that way he is always satisfied & doesn't over eat & throw up. His bowl is healthy too, a clear sign the food he is eating is appropriate for his digestive system. I honestly don't know why people continue to feed their cats diets with cereals as the main ingredient, it's a no brainer, cats simply aren't designed to eat those foods. So health problems are sure to follow, diabetes, obesity, poor dental hygiene & brain development, it's like feeding a child on Macy's every day & expected them to thrive. No thank you, I love my pets & owe them every they need to thrive & live a long & healthy life?? Orijen may seem pricey, but it's nutrient rich, so they only eat what there bodies need & there is the obvious less vet intervention, save you thousands in the long run ?? I can't recommend Orijen highly enough ??

I live in hope...

My Princess, Delilah, has been hooked on Purizon Fish dry food for some time, but this has recently become unavailable, so I've had to try and find an alternative. I settled on 'Aatu' and Orijen as possibilities, both very high quality and very expensive. So far she is just about accepting the Aatu, but only if she can eat it from my hand; we haven't yet tried the Orijen, as it only came in big packs and I don't want too much open at once going stale. I've done this review as I don't want the frequent pestering for reviews for everything, which always follows a purchase, usually too soon to have even used the product! I live in hope that Orijen is acceptable to Her Highness, but if it isn't, the local Cat's Protection group will benefit. Some smaller sample packs would have been useful.

The best of the best dry food kibble

Orijen is by far the best dry food kibble I have seen and used and I think 6 Fish is their best product after a good few years of feeding Orijen kibble to our cat. Given the small amount that is feed to the cat as a meal or daily food a 5.4 kg bag lasts a long time and is excellent value given the quality of the ingredients and the way these feed animals are raised and caught. High quality food is obviously better for your pet and also works out a lot cheaper to the owner over the medium and long run as it is a lot less cost than vet bills and buying the "special" or "prescription" foods that may be suggested after feeding inferior foods which can be cheap or other expensive recommended brands of wet and dry foods..

Very good

The Orijen brand is great quality. I had been using another brand but needed to change as we are about to relocate an I wanted to get my cat used to a brand available in that country. She absolutely loves it fortunately! The products took almost three weeks to get to me, which was a fairly long time considering they are local, but it arrived eventually well packaged. There is a good variety of products available to choose from.

Top up for wet food

I have used this before and my cats like it. I do supplement this with a wet food to ensure they get enough moisture.
