Carnilove Adult Grain Free Dry Dog Food - Lamb and Wild Boar

I have used many varieties of Orijen, Carnilove, Acana, Ava dried foods and even tried the Cotswold RAW frozen meat which was recommended for my Patterdale terrier. Arrived at using this Carnilove adult food in various flavours as it offers very good nutritional numbers and can be obtained in large volume 12kg bags. I tend to buy two new flavours at a time and I order before the current two flavour bag(s) run out so there is often an overlap which allows for a selection of flavours to give a variety of taste and of benefits from one day to the next. The dried extruded form of this food works well for me as I tend to feed a small amount in morning and evening with the bulk of his daily portion going in my pocket and being given during the daytime walk which is often 3-4 hours out in the open fields - it works well with recall training! There are Salmon, Duck & Pheasant, Reindeer, Lamb & Wild Boar flavours in the dry adult format and in the 'Fresh Meat' format they have Carp & Trout and Chicken & Rabbit. Petplanet have always been reasonably priced and the delivery times are very good with no problems at all. I would recommend looking at the nutritional compositions of each flavour on the very useful website allaboutdogfood.co.uk as that is where I gained a lot of insight to what I now use and my dog is certainly not complaining!

This food was recommended by our dog trainer to increase food drive in our dog as it was more nutrient dense than our other well known dog food, meaning we could achieve our dogs nutritional requirements while delivering quite significantly less volume. It worked out less cost per portion compared to the other food and the dog is more willing to work for his food, plus he seems to find it tastier as well.

This does appear to be a good food that both my miniature Poodles seem to enjoy with none of the itching etc they have experienced with some other foods. Pet Planet service is always good.

I moved my dogs to this food as the food they were on didn't do bags larger than 10kg. The transition across was easy and didn't upset either of my dogs stomachs. They both absolutely love the food and my rottweiler is usually fussy, obviously my lab isn't. I have attempted to change their food in the past, and tried a few different brands but my dogs didn't like them so i was amazed that they loved this one.

Service & delivery very good. Food seems to be suiting my dog & she loves it!
