ROYAL CANIN® Veterinary Health Nutrition Since 1968, Royal Canin has been following the belief that nutrition plays a key role in supporting the health and wellbeing of cats and dogs. This is why we have designed ROYAL CANIN® veterinary diets around proven nutritional science in partnership with pet professionals and experts, delivering nutrition for pets with specific health needs.
If your dog is susceptible to digestive sensitivities, ROYAL CANIN® Gastrointestinal dry dog food is a complete and balanced diet that contains specific nutrients may help to support healthy digestion.
As part of the ROYAL CANIN® Veterinary Health Nutrition range, it is important that this product is only given to your pet when recommended by a veterinary professional. To cater to each dog’s individual preferences, ROYAL CANIN® Gastrointestinal Low Fat is also available as dry food with crunchy kibble.

We have a Samoyed that unfortunately suffers from quite severe inflammatory bowel disease so we have to be extremely careful what we feed him. The IBD combined with him being fussy about his food proved to be quite a challenge. After a long period of trial and error we eventually settled on this dry food in the morning and the matching Royal Canin Gastro wet food in the evening. Every dog is different when it comes to IBD but this helped us get it under control and he tells us he likes it.
My rescue Shih tzu had a bad tummy the vet recommended to put her on gastrointestinal food so I give her royal canin shes a lot better I would recommend.
Using this as our labs supper has prevented the nighttime bile problems he was having as he'd started to age, which he had with his usual, daytime kibble. Was throwing up bile most nights, but now very very rarely. Means we get sleep and so does he, with no 3am cleanups. Great stuff.
My 11 months old Jack Russell has had some issues with other food (like vomiting, or poo too soft), but with this one, he never had any. I used it alternating with another one, and some treats.
