We have 2 kittens, they really enjoy playing with this. They were a little bit unsure of the lights to start with, but now are fine
I read the reviews.

Yes I did read the reviews, but I decided to still buy this toy, to see what was being written about them was correct .Well they came and I shook them but no lights came on, I then took the label out and still no lights, so I stood and looked at them hard something TD me to look inside the balls, as one fits inside the other, I noticed that the bag was very large, so I pulled it out I made two smaller bags out of the larger ones and put them back, I shook them and suddenly the lights came on, but it's not the lights that make the cats, play with them, it's the catmint, but I also noticed, that once they had got used to the catnip inside the bags in the balls, the cats fell out of favour with the balls, I think if the makers of this game thought harder, they could could come up with a better idea to make the cats, play with this great ball, because it could be a great little game, I thought you could impregnate the balls with catnip , and another herb that cats like, maybe then it would make the cats to play with the balls more. As they are, the bag is far to big, and it stops the cats from playing with the ball, it's such a shame, as it could be a great game my to crazy cats will not play with them for more than half a minute, because the cats feel that there is nothing to actually draw them to play with them, and as to playing with them No I would not buy them again.

Bought this with other toys for my 4 year old. So far we have totally ignored it. She definitely likes catnip, and plays with other balls, so not sure what it is about this one that she doesn't like. The lights do not work, but they were not the primary reason for buying this toy.
